USA, floods in Kentucky: a child among the victims

At least nine people have died in the latest wave of severe weather to hit the United States, including eight in Kentucky. President Donald Trump has approved a disaster declaration for the Midwestern state. Kentucky Gov.

 

Andy Beshear said hundreds of people had been rescued from flash flooding, with many of the deaths, including a mother and a 7-year-old boy, resulting from cars getting stuck in high water. Much of the United States is also dealing with bitter cold. The northern Plains have been swept by dangerous cold, and severe storms have caused one death in Georgia.
