Tajani to Israeli Foreign Minister Sa'ar: "Two States is the solution for the future". The US president assures that Palestinians would go to much safer and more beautiful communities. To Netanyahu: "American control of the Strip to rebuild it". No from the Arab world. Guterres (UN): "Moving towards two States".
The war in the Middle East between Israel and Hamas , involving Lebanon, Syria and Iran, has reached day 489. Trump's plan for Gaza includes American control of the Strip to rebuild it. The US president hopes that Gaza will be handed over by Israel to the United States after the war so that Palestinians will be "resettled in safer and more beautiful communities, with new homes".
He therefore claimed for the first time that the resettlement of Palestinians is permanent and that it concerns all citizens of Gaza. Meeting Netanyahu at the White House, he reiterated his belief that Egypt, Jordan and other countries "will accept" these people on their territory. "Gaza will be the Riviera of the Middle East", he promised, announcing a trip to the Strip. Hamas totally rejected Trump's plan: "Ridiculous". The Arab world also said no. For UN Secretary General Guterres , "any lasting peace will require tangible, irreversible and permanent progress towards the two-state solution". Tajani to Israeli Foreign Minister Sa'ar: "Two States is the solution for the future".
