
In January 2025, Brazil recorded over 170,000 cases of dengue, with 38 confirmed victims. According to monitoring data released by the Ministry of Health, investigations are underway into a further 201 deaths.
At present, the incidence of dengue is 80.1 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Women represent 54% of infections, while 51.3% concern whites, 32.4% mixed-races, 4.4% blacks, 1.1% orientals. The most affected age group is between 20 and 29 years, followed by the 30-39 and 40-49 age groups.
