Fear erupted in South Korea after an Airbus A321 caught fire on the runway at Busan International Airport, prompting the evacuation of all 176 people on board, local news agency Yonhap reported.

For reasons that are still unclear, the tail of the Air Busan plane, bound for Hong Kong, caught fire: a total of 169 passengers and seven crew members were evacuated via inflatable slides.

The fire was brought under control in just over an hour. Three people were slightly injured during the evacuation.
