Microsoft is reportedly in talks to buy TikTok. Donald Trump told reporters traveling with him, according to Bloomberg . In recent days, it had leaked that Microsoft and Oracle were among the candidates for TikTok, for which the president expects to receive several offers.
Also according to Bloomberg , when asked if Microsoft was one of the companies interested in helping create a new owner of TikTok, Trump said he would “say yes.” Trump added that other companies are also interested in buying TikTok, but did not provide a list. In one of his first acts in office, Trump extended the deadline for TikTok to find a new owner that satisfies the government by 75 days, from January 19 to early April.
