US President Donald Trump is set to sign three executive orders today that will reshape the structure of the armed forces.
They include a ban on transgender people from serving in the military, the elimination of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs and the reinstatement with compensation of soldiers fired for refusing to be vaccinated against Covid.
These provisions come after the swearing-in of Pete Hegseth as head of the Pentagon, who had already announced "significant cultural changes within the armed forces".
