
A magnitude 5.2 earthquake has struck the southeastern coast of Taiwan. The epicenter of the quake was in Taitung, at a depth of 6.5 kilometers. Level 4 tremors were also felt in the city of Pingtung, and level 2 tremors were felt in Kaohsiung, Hualien, Tainan and Chiayi.
The seismic activity follows the magnitude 6.4 earthquake that struck southern Taiwan on January 21, causing damage to homes and dozens of injuries.
