
According to an exit poll, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko was re-elected with 87.6% of the vote. This was reported by the Russian agency Tass.
Voting operations at 5,300 polling stations across the country ended at 8:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. Italian time). According to the Central Election Commission, turnout had already reached 81.5% two hours before the end of operations.
According to the same source, 41.81% of voters had already expressed their preference during the early voting operations held from January 21 to 25.
