About 70 people have been killed in an attack on the only functioning hospital in the besieged town of El Fasher in Sudan, the head of the World Health Organization said.
The attack on the Saudi Teaching Maternal Hospital, which local officials blamed on the Rapid Support Forces, rebels embroiled in the civil war that has escalated in recent days, came as the group was suffering losses on the battlefield against the Sudanese army and allied forces under the military's top commander, General Abdel-Fattah Burhan.
