London, drug trafficker wanted in the US arrested: tracked down through his wife's posts

An international drug trafficker wanted in the United States , Luis Grijalba , was tracked down and arrested in London thanks to the social media posts of his wife, Estefania McDonald Rodriguez .

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has in fact followed Grijalba's movements through the photographic accounts of his travels shared by the woman. As Il Gazzettino reports , the man is accused of having exported cocaine from Costa Rica.

The woman has uploaded photos from different parts of the world: from Colombia to Europe. On her Facebook profile you can see her in front of the Trevi Fountain in Rome or in a gondola in Venice.

The couple were in London at the time of their arrest, having arrived in the city to celebrate New Year's Eve. The day after their capture, Grijalba appeared before Westminster Magistrates' Court. He is seeking to fight extradition to the United States.
