The war in the Middle Est between Israel and Hamas, involving Lebanon, Syria and Iran, has reached day 477. The four Israeli soldiers who had been held hostage until now have been freed. They got out of the fundamentalists' SUVs, climbed smiling onto the stage set up in Gaza City and then left on board the Red Cross vehicles to return home.
Upon their return, they were greeted by relatives and a cheering crowd and hugged their parents at the military base in Reem . In the meantime, 200 Palestinian prisoners have been released . Lebanon denounces that Israel is delaying the withdrawal of its troops from the country of the cedars. Tel Aviv has also asked that UNRWA , the United Nations agency that assists Palestinian refugees, leave Jerusalem by January 30.
